2026 Legislative Update - Week 4

We are on the downhill slide of this Budget Session. Only 9 bills remain alive on our list. However, if they are not heard in Committee by tomorrow more will die.

SF 117 Zoning Protest Amendments died in the House Corporations Committee on a 2-6 vote this past Friday. I wish I could explain what happened. No one opposed it in testimony, no committee member spoke against it. Then Rep. Yin from Jackson and Chairman Knapp voted aye and all the rest vote no. No explanation.

One more week to go. They are still arguing over the budget. House and Senate several million apart. Stay tuned! L.
